How It Works
Talk to your teammates about when suits everybody to meet your academic mentor. Send them an e-mail with three different choices for them. As soon as they respond, follow up promptly with a link on your agreed time and date.
On this page, you will find six different questions that you can use to shape your discussions with your mentor. In each case, you will see some ideas for how to answer these questions and links for further research.
Learning happens throughout this process and it is "banked" when you reflect on what you've taken from the conversation, what you're going to put into practise and what you want to explore further. This Review Form is at the bottom of this page.
Now that you've had your meeting with your mentor, it's important to reflect on what you've learned. Fill out this Review Form to guide you through how you're planning to work with your team to turn the conversation into fruitful action and productive results. Each member of the team needs to complete this form after each mentoring meeting.
We're very grateful to you for your time, expertise and guidance for our SIE students. We value your feedback on the preparation of your team for the meeting, the progress of the group relative to their milestones and any suggested improvements. Fill our our Review Form to share your thoughts with us.
